La Forge de Diogne is more than a place to stay. It is a former family forge, carefully restored while preserving the stone, timber and character that give the house its identity.
Set in the quiet hamlet of Diogne, between Sierre and Crans-Montana, the house brings together the history of the building with simple, contemporary comfort. It is a place created for slowing down, sharing good moments and discovering the Valais at a gentler pace.
At around 1,000 metres above sea level, Diogne is a small village surrounded by vineyards, mountain peaks and the landscapes of the Rhône Valley. Its quiet character is part of what makes a stay at La Forge different.
Here, the mountains are close, but so are the details of everyday Valais life: old villages, local vineyards, seasonal food and the people who give the region its character.

With time, I understood how deeply my roots had stayed with me. Returning to Valais became a way of reconnecting with that heritage — and of giving this old forge a new life.
Today, I welcome guests to La Forge de Diogne with the same values that shaped my own upbringing: warmth, simplicity, generosity and a genuine connection to the place.

Welcome to the former family forge. Here, we offer an intimate collection of refined accommodations, including elegant double rooms or two exclusive holiday apartments, designed to host between 1 and 12 guests. Bathed in natural light and exuding warmth, the guesthouse has been thoughtfully and meticulously renovated in 2017 and 2024, blending authentic character with contemporary comfort.
The restoration was guided by one simple idea: preserve what makes the building special while creating a comfortable home for today.
Original materials and architectural details remain part of the experience, complemented by contemporary interiors, natural light and carefully chosen details. The result is neither a museum nor a conventional hotel — it is a living home with a history.

Perfectly positioned halfway between Sierre and Crans-Montana, the hameau of Diogne offers an exceptional base for discovering the Valais region. In both winter and summer, a wealth of activities and emblematic destinations lie within effortless reach. A convenient bus stop, just 500 meters away, provides direct connections to Sierre and Crans-Montana railway station, ensuring smooth access while preserving the tranquillity of this privileged alpine setting.
